Saint-Petersburg charity organization ‘Shag navstrechu’ helps disabled children due to sincere people and socially responsible organizations. It has been taking care of children, who live in the 3rd building of the Orphan shelter №4 in Pavlovsk since 2004.

 

Our organization works in the building where 150 children live. Their age is 4-18 and they have multiple mental or physical diseases. For example, 25 children can move only using a wheelchair or a walking frame.

 

SPb CPO ‘Shag navstrechu’ has provided the 3rd building with the psychologist room, the logopedist room, the hand work room for the hobby group ‘Umelye ruchki’, gymnastic hall and the room for therapeutic physical training, the Artstudio and the massage room. Also the equipment for physiotherapy was bought.

 

With the help of charity providers we supply children with books, developmental games, equipment, hygienic facilities, etc.

 

 

But most of all children need care and attention given by the specialists and volunteers of our organization. More than 20 employees of ‘Shag navstrechu’ work in the Specialists and Volunteers departments. Our children urgently need this backing, because there is only one educator and one nurse for the group of 15 children in the Orphan shelter.

No ordinary people work in ‘Shag navstrechu’. They give all their strength and love to children. They give them an opportunity for development: they teach children to communicate, to express their thoughts, to define things, to move freely and to be happy. The importance of every specialist is invaluable.
