A story about volunteer Yana, the girl Anastasia, educator and specialist
At first you may think that this isn't a story of volunteer and it's not about a child. But things are not always as they seem at first...
The story begins with the fact that the teacher who works with children in our building, sincerely thanked me for volunteer Yana help on the group. Also he thanked Yana for learning Anastasia how to eat.
When the specialist, who was nearby, heard this, he marveled, and said the educator:
- But you by yourself have taught Anastasia how to eat, and would have done it sooner than a volunteer, wouldn't you?
- Of course not - answered the teacher.
- You want to say: "Of course, yes!"
- That's the sense that I never would have taught Anastasia how to eat. Because I can't afford to throw the 14 children in the group and I can't give full attention only to one child. Therefore, if there were not Yana, then Anastasia never learned how to eat independently.
Listening to this conversation, I once again imbued with sincere gratitude and respect for the work of volunteers and again convinced of the importance of what they do!
